I do hope that the Queen writes this idiot out of the succession. She cannot do so. British royal succession is governed by their law. Unless Charles either dies before his mum or refuses the crown, which he will not do, its all his when Elizabeth dies.

Well, Edward VII was forced to retire because of divorce. They could also eliminate Charles, if they still had any principles.

The Labour Party basically destroyed the House of Lords during its long stint in office, and if Charles becomes king, he may well turn out to be the last one.

The Queen has kept this institution alive, but Charles is probably incapable of playing his part, IMHO.

He can’t but the parliament can. Hasn’t been done since the Act of Succession.

Fr’instance, if the parliament were to pass a bill abolishing the Act of Succession, it would do several things.

1, Catholics would no longer be forbidden to take the throne.

2, Semi-salic succession would be restored.

Franz of Bavaria would become King of England

The line would be:

Franz of Bavaria
Albrecht Duke of Bavaria
Rupprecht Crown Prince of Bavaria
Maria Theresa of Austria-Este
Francis V Duke of Modena
Maria Beatrice of Savoy
Victor Emmanuel I of Sardinia
Charles Emmanuel IV of Sardinia
Anne Marie of Orleans
Henrietta Anne Stuart
Charles I Stuart, King of England
