To: spectre

spectre—I would think park rangers would have warned the campers. Sirens are found down stream of dams where the gates are routinely opened, but not sure if this area had any warning system.
I hate stories like this.

This was at Albert Pike. Daughter has a cabin there or maybe HAD a cabin there about a mile down stream from this camp ground. Steep area, no cell phone, you have to drive out about 2 miles to get any signal. Probably no Park Rangers there at night.

People just don’t have any common sense anymore. No one with any camping skills camps in a draw next to the stream.

We'll hear more about what happened soon...Truth is..even if a Siren had gone off, they more than likely would have thought it was a Tornado warning and so where would they have gone except to take cover under a bunk, etc?

It's just horrible.
