Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert on Wednesday defended Helen Thomas's anti-Semitic remarks by attacking conservative talk radio hosts Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, John Gibson, and Michael Savage.
Addressing the comments that led Thomas to resign her position with the Hearst News Service, Colbert said, "Jesus Christ on a matzo cracker, Helen. What were you thinking?"
He continued, "You don't just blurt out racially charged comments on camera."
As pictures of the four conservative talkers appeared on the screen, Colbert quipped, "You do it on your radio show" (video follows with commentary):

Glen Beck and Rush don’t sit in the front row of the Press Pool in the white house. There is a big difference between Opinion and news. Having said that, I am not surprised that the media lefties don’t realize there IS a difference.
I didn’t realize the unfunny Stephen Colbert was such a Jew hater.
Colbert is as offensive as they come.
And here he employs the left’s favorite trick, moral equivalence.
Pssst, Colbert, Helen Thomas was pretending to be a JOURNALIST, seated with the White House press corps. (That’s “kor” if you speak English, not Obamaese.) Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are both COMMENTATORS! Neither has ever claimed to be a journalist.
Moron.
Stephen Colbert. Is he somebody?
I was about to ask that. I get him mixed up with the effete Jon Stewart. Had to check a site search to verify.
I wish someone would take the top of Colbert’s right ear and staple it closer to his head!
Frankly, I’m surprised he didn’t edit some sound bites to trash them further.
Give ‘em time, I’m sure they are working on it.
What are the ratings and demos of the Daily Show and Colbert Report these days?
OMG, lighten up folks. You have to admit it’s funny even if it is a stretch. So what?
Interpretation: Don't show your true colors, lie often
Try explaining that to a stupid liberal comic.
>> You have to admit its funny even if it is a stretch. So what?
I find rationalizing Jew bashing in any form difficult to accept especially in view of the intense hatred for Israel - comedy is no exception.
To Colbert’s comedic ignorance, Conservative radio typically takes a hard line in defense of Israel.
But this goes further than feigning cool acceptance of scumbag humor - it demonstrates the uneven treatment of Conservatism, and no Conservative should offer a single nod of approval until the insults are evenly distributed.
No worries about sensitivities - there’s humor in rejecting the politically committed jester.
