In a recent interview with Palin, someone who has lots of suggestions and actual practical experience in this area, she pointed out that the US emergency response plan for a major spill in the Gulf of Mexico was horribly negligent. Palin stated that it appeared that the feds had just copied what she helped put together in Alaska concerning spills and haphazardly applied them to the Gulf. She stated that the emergency plan even mentioned specific animals not found in the Gulf. Animals which happened to all be found in Alaska. Perhaps she can do for DC what she did for Alaska.
