This not quite what it seems, but it may turn out worse. Iran is concerned about possible Turkish inroads regarding Iran's control of Hizbollah and Hamas. The Israelis make a convenient foil, but the object is counteracting Turkish influence. And the Iranians know from the total collapse of opposition to their nuclear weapons efforts that no one will try to stop them.

This is extremely dangerous - this kind of brinksmanship was bad enough being played between Arab and Persian, and now we have the Turks in the mix. Were this any other administration a few quiet words concerning ejection from NATO and pulling of U.S. support for Turkish EU membership would cool the thing down a bit. The 0bama administration apparently doesn't have a clue. Foreign policy isn't really their strong suit - they have their own country to tear down.
