Let’s not diminish her skills or achievement, however. She was the youngest to round the Cape of Good Hope solo and got halfway around the world. Very impressive.
But the outcome was almost inevitable due to the timing (not only the winter aspect but the fact she only owned the boat for three months before her departure and two of those months were spent tricking it out with sponsorship logos and retrofitting the gear) and the parental pimping unforgivable.
They deserve as much attention as Octomom has garnered. Pretty much none. Let each of their other six kids try to beat each other to be the youngest. This bunch is about as loathsome as it comes.
Besides, the book has already been written. Lionheart, the Jesse Martin story.
To be fair, every RTW Sailor writes a book (I think Neptune extracts a promise from them when they cross from the equator)
Basically A sails solo around world, writes book, B reads it, decides to sail solo around world, does it and writes book ~~~~~

Despite the fact that today started with a knockdown, a wet bunk, a headache and some pretty huge seas, I've had a great day.
