No one is criticizing her. I think her very brave.

It doesn’t change the matter that she was misguided in undertaking this venture, and that the cost of rescue will be borne by third parties who were not part of the decision process.

We are criticizing the adults in her life who should have done a better job in guiding her.

I agree for the most part, and appreciate your gracious response.

Some FReepers, though, are denigrating this young woman, essentially calling her an illiterate slut. Not cool.

Now THAT is something I can agree with. Even though I still think that she and her parent's had the RIGHT to make that decision.

And that's the real issue here.

It's the classic sixties liberal mentality that someone should be free to do whatever their heart desires - and then having adults clean up the wreckage later.
