Interesting. The original report was that Australia said they would not seek reimbursement citing the fact that many Australians have needed rescuing over the years and that this is something that all members of the world community just do for each other. If that changed, I wonder if it is because this has become a media-driven event and that the media have caused this reimbursement issue to take a course it otherwise would not have taken.

You could it wrong. The Australians volunteered and stated from the get go they would pay for the rescue. It’s what they do.
