They don’t mention guns at all, unless they’re asked. Then it’s “I support the 2nd Amendment...” These people have found a niche...pro-union...Roblan’s a retired “educator”..., pro-progressive agenda...DeFazio was chair of the progressive caucus for some time.. The sad truth is that there are a lot of old-school Democrats...third, or fourth generation unionists, sometimes, that will vote Democrat regardless. They aren’t tuned in. If you tell them what’s going on, they’ll respond “The Democrats wouldn’t do that.” Couple that with the transient voters in the universities, and DeFazio wins. He’s up against an honest to God Reagan conservative this November, but he’s beaten an Eagle Scout, fighter pilot, FBI agent, so we’ll see.
I guess you have to carry around a book of news clipping.
