Never buy a firearm through a dealer in Oregon. Cross the state line to purchase or purchase used firearms from a private owner.

You CAN'T buy a firearm from an FFL not in your home state (or, you can but they have to ship to an FFL in your state for a 4473 transfer), nor are you supposed to buy from private parties interstate. The other part of your advice is good, buy from individuals in Oregon.
