NASHVILLE, Tenn. - State Republican leaders said comments made by Democratic State Representative Janis Sontany are "inappropriate" and "strange".
State Rep Janis Sontany, from Nashville was speaking at an event honoring U.S. Congressman Jim Cooper. She.told the crowd "You have to lift their skirts to find out if they are women. You sure can't find out by how they vote!"
Sontany told NewsChannel 5 why she said what she said.
"That was how it all came about, it was a bad choice of words on my part, but it was not done to offend anyone," said Sontany.
Sontany added that she said that because she was critical of why some female Republican lawmakers were trying to get the Pre-K education program out of their districts.
The reason the Republicans want to cut Pre-K education is because it has been proven (by a group hired by the Rat governor, no less) that any effects it might have are completely erased by the third grade and that it was little more than free government day care.

Well, in a sense he is right.
Conservative women tend to have more balls than the men.
But if he is suggesting that conservative women are unattractive, he will lose that argument. Big time.

Must be tough recruiting lesbians while working on the coming campaign, but there she was at a Democrat gathering and it was time to raise the issue ~ which she did.
Part of the problem she's facing is that Republicans have been quite successful in recruitng rich, younger lesbians (SEE: "that event" in Hollywood eh), and word is spreading that there's room in the Republican umbrella.

There is hardly anything more closed minded and bigoted than to say if you don’t go along with our agenda you are not really a woman (or black, etc.) They scream racism about conservatives yet on the right we are tolerant and open minded. Republicans tolerate so much dissent that some members of the party sound more like Dems! Yet to the lefty elites you have to march in lockstep with their ideas or there’s something wrong with you. Unreal.
I don’t recall those Democrat women as being that pretty. Are you sure you didn’t help them out a little with Photo-shop?
