I have a train near me. It blows often. I don’t even notice anymore..so this is BS. Sumbudy is wanting money or land grab.
I have lived (and slept) next to a switch engine yard. For the first few nights it was difficult to sleep, after that I slept well. Oh, did I mention this was a house my parents paid for with their own money! Even our street people have become wusses.
When I first came home from nam .. I have to admit, I was a little screwed up.
Anyway, I didn’t really have anywhere to live and not much money so .. I bought a cheap little pup tent.
The only place I could find to pitch it (tent) was in some brush about “six feet” from the tracks of the East Coast RR.
A train would roll by there five or six times a day .. including around three in the morning.
After a couple of beers .. I never heard it! 8)
In truth .. I really didn’t have to drink to not notice the sound and rumble of the train roaring past .. It was the collapsing of the thing (tent) from the sixty mile an hour pass-by that became quite annoying! 8(
