So Brown says he`ll vote against cap and trade, but people are bitching because he agreed to play basketball?

Once again I am startled of the inability of some people to connect with reality

Our choic in MA wasn`t between Brown and the second coming of RWR. We had an ultralib and a moderate Republican who is as conservative as one was ever gonna get to have a fighting chance. [The fact that Brown won indicates one day someone more conservative could win a senate seat from MA.

He ain`t perfect by a long shot, but is he the best of the ACTUAL [NOT IMAGINARY] choices we had?

Yes, he is. But we`ll whine about playing basketball?

Agree completely. While I think the basketball schtick is a little childish, that's still his schtick. It's one way he identifies himself with the working class MA voter as an everyman.

No, Brown is not going to vote like a Republican from South Carolina or Alabama, but he's not representing the people from those states. He's representing the people who had previously elected a Kennedy to represent them for the last - what - almost 60 years?
