The article explains why she switched to Democrat.
It was because she ran the campaign of a Conservative Democrat.
It also says she supported Reagan and voted for him both elections.
Sharron is a conservative and always has been, regardless of her party.
Her political affilliation may have changed for one reason or another throughout the years, but her ideology hasn’t.
This just shows she is a conservative first, and a Republican second.

Sorry, to my mind leaving your party and joining another is a big step - it’s an ideological statement. All this shows me is that Angle became a Democrat while Ronald Reagan was seeking reelection, and she did so for personal gain - to run a campaign. Who was this mysterious conservative Democrat too? I bet if we go digging, we’ll find plenty to be horrified over.
