Political reaction yesterday to Presi dent Obama's prime-time Gulf oil spill speech was surprisingly biparti san: Democrats and Republicans alike thought the address was a dud.
Especially when Obama veered from the spill and -- in true Rahm Emanuel "never let a crisis go to waste" style -- began pitching his energy-regulation scheme.
Which essentially amounts to the discredited notion of cap-and-trade (though Obama, at his pollster's urging, no longer uses the term, which more accurately should be called cap-and-tax, anyway).
"If my house is on fire, I don't need the fire chief telling me that I shouldn't have built the house out of wood," said Alabama's GOP Gov. Bob Riley.

When he finished and said God Bless America, I thought I would vomit.
How Democrats could put someone who hates America so much in that office just boggles the mind.

Obama is now claiming that Alvin Greene gave the speech and that Greene conked him on the head and took his place just before airtime!
Boggles the mind? The left has been working at defeating Capitalist and —but more focused post WW II. As there was no way to do that militarily from without or via armed revolution from within, the Marxists resorted to subversion.
So the left subverted the judiciary, financial and religious leadership, media, education, unions and the State Dept. This train has been coming for years and all of us—including me—just stood there and watched it coming. Afterall, Marxism has failed everywhere it’s been imposed. How could a majority of thinking American voters buy into that?
The good news is that Onada and his band of angry commies took their masks off too soon. I believe the majority of voters now see the ugly Marxist beast for what it is.
Yes, angry communists is what they are. Problem is that they do not even know they are wrong! They still believe in the spreading the wealth around because the darkness speaks to their minds as the it were God. It does thst to the best of us actually, but the more aware souls do nott go along witth it.
