When a person thinks about that statement; they should get angry.
This is the United States; not a outlaw Gypsy province of Hungary.
A traveler from Indiana or Iowa SHOULD be able to safely get and take their picture by a cactus plant along a road while on vacation.
The fact that they can't; illustrates we have a serious problem.
My family is looking for places to go in December for a family vacation. Southern Arizona is a place I would like to look at.
And I really don't want to carry a handgun on vacation.

A handgun is just a substitute for a sword - a close quarters, last ditch weapon, usable to fight your way to the rifle you should have with you in such places.
