Figueroa, just walk along towards the Subway to be safe even if it’s the longer route, it’s a major street with lots of bars. Pico is only for bums and illegals...

Reports Of Hooliganism

Shades of last year.

Some ugliness has broken out after the Lakers win over the Celtics this evening downtown outside the Staples Center.

Aaron Fitzgerald and Justin Jaeger, both reporting overhead in Sky 9, have reportedly seeing rocks and traffic cones being thrown at cars, motorists being harassed, people stopping traffic, a couple of bonfires being started and at least two fights that including several people being dragged from cars.

The windows of one car, believed to be a Honda Accord, could be seen having its windows smashed.

At least one bicyclist was reportedly struck by several fans.

Moments after the game, the LAPD said they had an “unlawful assembly’ situation.

Most of the situations happened in or around the streets of East Los Angeles, near Whittier Boulevard.

Another “big skirmish” could be seen on Flower Street, just north of Olympic Boulevard, where a fan was beaten by several other males. The man could be seen kicked and beaten by at least three others.

Officers on horseback pushed several small groups away from the downtown area.

One car, believed to be a cab, was also lit on fire with a fully engulfed blaze.
