If it’s leaking in multiple places under the seabed, nuking it may do more harm than good.
Seems to me the best plan would be to drill multiple wells in the proximity of this one and relieve the pressure that way. At this point, I just can’t see how they’re ever going to cap it.
What a great idea..... we go from something that will repair itself in a relatively short time to one that will remain toxic for 1000 years.

I’ve seen this mentioned a couple of times. For those of us slow to this, what would that do? Is the theory that the blast would eliminate the leak by eliminating the source?
We also need to nuke all the active volcanoes so they won't delay air travel, and nuke all the fault lines so we won't have any more earthquakes.
