A former Orlando TSA security officer arrested for allegedly molesting a minor pleaded no contest to one charge today and was sentenced to 10 years' sex-offender probation.
A victim told deputies Bennett asked her to be his sex slave and fondled her against her will. He pleaded no contest to the molestation charge, while prosecutors dropped the second count as part of the plea deal.
Bennett, 58, could have received a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison for the felony.
"Are you satisfied with your attorney?" Orange Circuit Judge Marc Lubet asked Bennett during the sentencing.
"Yes," Bennett replied.
"You certainly should be," Lubet said.
Assistant State Attorney Ryan Williams said the victim in this case did not want to see Bennett go to prison. Williams also said Bennett wanted to take "responsibility for his actions."

The words, “probe” and “sex slave” should not be used in the same sentence...
Justice for all.
Tried the TSA long time ago..couldn’t get in because of a back tax....apparently sexual deviancy doesn’t matter.
This makes me cringe thinking about the airport scanners and the fact you can practically see what your garment tag looks like...
He needs to be shot.
Let me add IMO.
So that's what the kids are calling it these days?
IMO he should be hanged, publicly and his last few minutes struggling as he dangles at the end of the rope televised as a promise to other budding molesters and slavers.
Response:The terms "sex-slave" always remind me of tabloid headlines: i.e. "I Was Bigfoot's Teenage Sex-Slave." I can picture the story; "While stopping only to adjust his colostomy bag Melvin G. told of his year of terror as a homosexual bigfoot's sex-slave......."
Did you miss this part?
“molesting a MINOR”
That was no ‘woman’. It was an ‘underage’ girl!
You call a 12-year-old a “woman”..?
A ‘minor’ is considered to be anyone under the age of ‘consent’. Generally 16 or younger.
The girl was 12!
Welcome to FreeRepublic.
Sorry to disappoint you, but 12-year-olds aren’t considered “women” here. If you’re looking for a hunting ground, I suggest you move on.
so just WHAT amount of touching of a girl's breast by a stranger, employed by our government, or any stranger, is OK? so some is OK? a lot of indecent groping is too much?
how much touching by a stranger would be OK if it were your daughter or wife?
wow. i'm glad YOU are not in charge.
She is now 15 years old.
This incident happened 3 years ago (per the article) when she was just 12.
Here’s an article from earlier this year. It is a bit confusing, but it sounds like she was 12 when he began molesting her. And she was 15 he made the offer to be his sex slave? Or, she was 12, and she is only coming out about it now? Regardless, sShoot him. And then hang him at the city gate.:
A perverted Transportation Security Administration employee’s alleged plot to turn a 15-year-old girl into his “sex slave” was foiled after his arrest for abusing the teen, according to cops in Florida.
Charles Henry Bennett was arrested Friday after the girl came forward claiming she’d been molested by the suspect when she was 12, Orlando TV station WKMG reports.
The 57-year-old Bennett acknowledges he “groped” the girl, according to the station, citing a police report. But the girl’s version of the encounter is reportedly more graphic.
On a MySpace page that apparently belongs to Bennett, he says he is a S&M-oriented swinger out to meet “submissive females,” the station reports.

So you are saying you are not willing to protect your own daughter from a pervert?
I pity your daughter then.
HOWEVER, not all young girls are that assertive or brave. The onus should not be on the victim to be responsible.
Without removal, the perv will do it again...and has probably done it before.
Shot? no. Ten years? works for me...
Looks like you realized you couldn't win an honest arguement.
Then post, "the article doesn't give her age, but I responsibly searched and found that she was 12," perhaps.
Since I don’t own a gun, the point it mute.
But if it were my daughter the last thing the ‘perv’ would have to worry about was being arrested.
After he got out of the hospital... if he LIVES!
“Killing people that have done something wrong appears to be quite the answer on this site.”
Then why are you here??
And I never claimed to be english major.
In some company....I am sure that is what they are calling it.... ;)
Pedophiles - yes.
“I am here to discuss issues posted, and in this case to express my opinion that shooting or hanging or beating or killing someone is not always the answer.”
Glad your hear to express you opinion. That’s fine.
But sometimes some ‘killing’ is not only appropriate, but necessary.
You can disagree with that all you want.
“I will not go away just because someone or some disagree with me.”
No one is asking you too.
I always find this interesting... “If he did it to my daughter, I’d kill him!”
And I always ask in response who is going to protect your daughter while you are in prison?
You say no jury will convict you... with our court system, how can you be so sure? You could end up with a jury full of liberals who claim you are a vigilante.
“who is going to protect your daughter while you are in prison?”
My wife! Unless she kills perv first.. Then it would be me!
“You say no jury will convict you...”
Never said that.
And I fully understand the ramifications of what my actions would be.
As you say, with our corrupt judicial system, getting ‘justice’, as in this case, is mostly non existent.
Probation for molesting a child and wanting to make her a ‘sex slave’?
I would be absolutely willing to live with the ‘consequences’ of my actions.
But you used a ‘hypothetical’ age of 19 or 20.
The girl was 12 years old (per my link).
I’m sorry, but child molesters in my book are no better than murderers, because they rob the innocent ‘life’ of a young child that can never be gotten back.
“I do not believe, as you do, that murder is justice in this case. “
Justice is not murder.
But, we will just have to agree to disagree...
Just consider this.
This probably isn’t the first child he molested.
Just the first one he got ‘caught’ doing so.
How many more innocent lives has he ruined?
We may never know. But I’m willing to bet they haven’t forgotten and probably never will.
Got to run.
Have a good day!
Supreme Court would disagree with you. Oklahoma and Louisiana passed laws that called for the death penalty for repeat child rapists. It was immediately challenged and the Supreme Court struck it down in 2008.
The liberals will argue that it is hypocrisy that conservatives will protect life in the womb, and won’t let a terminally ill cancer patient commit suicide, yet are willing to torture and kill criminals. The liberals argue this is proof that conservatives do not care about life. And that the whole debate over life issues is about conservatives forcing control over other people’s lives.
That’s the angle that is taught in schools and universities today. As I remember one of my high school teachers tell the class, “The Republicans want to be the ones to decide who lives and who dies.”
Of course the hypocrisy goes both ways. The liberals will kill a defenseless baby in the womb and will kill off people who they deem “too sick” for society to care for. Yet they hold candlelight vigils for serial killers.
It appears the moderator thought not.
You can disagree with that all you want.
And by doing so, one is banned.
