Are they going to buy F-16s or F-35s?

the aircraft's unique features, in particular the yoke that was very convenient, especially during overloads.A YOKE!? Why would you need a yoke with fly by wire? If you don't have fly by wire how are you going to make an airplane more maneuverable than 4th gen aircraft?
I think they are looking to produce a low observable aircraft and hoping that thrust vectoring will make it as maneuverable as a F-22. Good luck with that.

“The requirements we are setting on this plane are well above those for the U.S. fifth-generation aircraft,” he said...Putin said the Russian fighter will be about three times as cheap as its foreign analogs.”
Yeah, good luck with that. Russia makes some nice aircraft, but statements like these make me think he’s drinking the same kool-aid Obama did when he came up with his health care agenda.
