A majority of Colorado voters would like to see the state pass an immigration bill modeled on the controversial law in Arizona that makes it illegal to be in the country without proper documentation.
You can count me in that 61 percent, said Greeley resident Ken Morgan, 69. I'm surprised it's that low.
The Arizona law the toughest on immigration in the country requires local and state law enforcement to question people about their immigration status if there's reasonable suspicion they lack valid identification. It also makes it a state crime to be in the United States illegally.
The poll also showed:
» A higher percentage of Hispanic voters (62 percent) would support a law similar to the one in Arizona in Colorado than would whites (61 percent).
» Fewer college graduates (56 percent) favor the law than do those without a college degree (67 percent).
» More people outside of the Denver metro area (68 percent) would support a law similar to Arizona's in Colorado than those in Denver (58 percent).

Earth calling Jack Squat Barry and moronic Holder.....
I believe the Arizona law permits, rather than requires, asking for proof of citizenship from a person that has been apprehended or in some manner contacted by a police officer for some other reason.
What is the matter with thw whites there? they want the place overrun with these people?
thw = the
Of course the Arizona law does not make it illegal to be in the country without proper documentation. It is already illegal to be illegal.
They got the numbers, they just need to vote in November.
So now Tom Boasberg from Denver Public Schools will have to ban travel in his own state.

“It may be striking that the Hispanics we talked to favor such a law, but that is the case,”
I remember the fight in California over Prop 187, the law that denied state services to illegals. The news was full of stories about hispanic rage over the law, but polls showed that hispanics supported the law in the same proportion as the rest of the state. That little factoid disappeared never to be repeated.
Thanks for the ping george76.
:)
He can just confine himself to his house after he invites a few illegal families in to live with him.
I favor implementing Arizona’s laws here too!!!
Critter would veto such a law, but he will be gone soon!
I’m all for it.
Guess someone in Colorado read the earlier FR thread where the illegal forced out of Arizona said he is moving to Colorado instead of going back south of the border.
Maybe someone in Colorado realized that there were more illegal rats coming their direction.
Ping!
Coloradans reading the tea leaves; see illegals headed there once the Arizona law goes into effect...
Good news
Stay safe! Thanks for the ping.
