Unreal...the fact that ANY 48% of people polled that would view him favorably speaks volumes about the state of this country.
This is so discouraging. I know its a poll and numbers ebb and flow. But I cannot believe he has the support of 48% of the people. Its insane. We very well might be seeing the end of this country.
I rarely watch TV outside of certain interests but last night came across Jay Leno and a man-on-the street Q & A segment regarding American History. Here are the replies from about a half-dozen people:

Leno: What Harbor is famous for the Tea Party?
Female: Pearl
Leno: Where was the Declaration of Independence signed?
Male: On the bottom line.
Leno: Who married George Washington?
Female: Mary or Margaret?
Leno: (Bewildered) No, it was Martha. How about Spencer Pratt? (I have no idea who that is).
Same Female as Above: (Giggling) Heidi Montag, of course. (again, I have no idea who that is).
Leno: What was a name given to the opposing soldiers in the Revolutionary War? They wore red coats.
Male (currently studying AMERICAN HISTORY): Yankees?
Leno: What year is often associated with the American Revolution?
Same Male as Above: 1869
Leno: What is the name of the National Anthem?
Female: Oh, the Seventh Inning Stretch song?
YET THIS IS MY FAVORITE:
Leno: Who lost the Revolutionary War?
Female: I want to say some white people.
