PHILADELPHIA (AP) Gov. Ed Rendell says there is no truth to gossip that he is involved in an extramarital affair with a state employee.
In an advance copy of a Philadelphia magazine article obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press, the governor and Kirstin Snow, the former beauty queen who works for him, say in separate interviews that they are not romantically involved.
Do I have some flaws? Absolutely! Rendell tells the magazine. For all of the rumors, has any woman ever said that I have had sex with her? Other than my wife?
Statehouse rumors of an affair gained traction after the Philadelphia Daily News published a photo of Rendell and Snow, whom the paper described as a tall, elegant blonde, having lunch last month at a local diner though it failed to show the pair were lunching with others across the table.
Advertisement Snow said shes surprised that it took months for the whispers to develop into full-fledged rumors. She says she worries about the gossip hurting the governors wife, Midge Rendell, who is a federal judge in Philadelphia, and insisted that she and the governor have a purely professional relationship.
If I had a nickel for everybody who told me that, or told me they heard that, I wouldnt have to come to my job, Snow said of the allegations.
Snow, 40, is director of Commonwealth Media Services, an agency in the state Department of General Services that provides multimedia services for educational, training, tourism, historical, and other general communications purposes.

Those are very, very, very strange denials...I guess they do not want to pull a clinton
lol very strange indeed!
Don’t we get pictures?
How can we establish guilt or innocence?
The Philly version of Nikki Haley
I tend to doubt this story. Politics aside, Rendell is a natural people person and a very friendly, open guy with a ready smile. This is not an endorsement, but he has been a consistently upbeat and accessible public figure for the past 40 years. I ran into him on street corners, in department stores, diners, all over the City of Philly when he was DA or Mayor. He is a very smart lawyer who is highly unlikely to have paraded an illicit situation in public. His wife is also a very attractive, smart and accomplished woman. I’m not buying it at this point.
Is she a guy?
I'm guessing she's not wearing that turtle neck because black is her best color. An Adam's Apple lurking just beneath, perhaps?
Client number eight?
True... I worked at 15'th and Arch in Philadelphia in the late 70's when he was Philadelphia's DA. He was a regular in some of the coffee/lunch spots in the neighborhood, and always mingled and chatted it up with us "locals".
Without trying to be unkind; my first thought was that she has a jawbone on her as strong as that of “Three Bars” a great Quarter Horse stallion of yesteryear!
Dude looks like a errrrr, dude
People said that about Ted Bundy too.
As Rush says; For a DemocRAT, an affair is often a resume’ enhancement. Why is “fast” Eddie denying it........oh yeah, his WIFE be da’ JUDGE! If this turns out to be true, the Missus will probably take away all or most of those million$ he would be getting under the table from the gambling interests in PA.
Here is the picture that caused the kerfluffle. You can clearly see that not only are they sitting right at a streetside window, but also that he is talking to someone else across the table -- they aren't alone.
The source says they are at the Famous Fourth St Deli, which is a highly trafficked, long-established and very public place just off South Street and the fabric district in the old Jewish area of the city. This story really seems like crap to me.
This was a former Miss Pennsylvania???
If I were a governor, I could do a lot better that her.
There are cuter, younger ones in the intern groupie ranks eager to serve some powerful politician.
I always doubted Rendell’s smarts and judgment. This proves my doubts.
Ted Bundy didn’t serve as a very public chief executive in a major population center for 45 years, though. Just a thought.
