In a sensational Rolling Stone interview appropriately titled The Runaway General, McChrystal and his staffers were quite right to be critical of President Obamas non-strategy for not winning the war in Afghanistan, but in a constitutional republic propriety requires that top generals keep their mouths (and the mouths of their aides) shut in public. Rolling Stone has a long history of blindly opposing war in general so it seems reasonable to assume the magazine went with the article in an effort to undermine Americas war effort. Longtime leftist Jann Wenner, founder of the magazine, wouldnt have it any other way

I think you overestimate the denizens of DU. They must be in such severe denial at this point, given the wretched performance to date of B Hussein O.
DumBO had a difficult decision on whose advice to take on Afghanistan, Petraus or Biden. Biden, the only one dumber than ZerO or someone who would want to win the war. Firing McChrystal was an admission that his policies are a failure, not, because McChrystal was failing, but, that, the policy was not sufficiently gratuitous to DumBO.

He sure did, during the campaign and said the Surge wouldn’t work, which it did. It worked until the muslim told the world we would be pulling out of Iraq in a year. Now we’re seeing an increase in arabs bombing arabs with vehicles filled with explosives, in Iraq.
