As someone else pointed out, Hal Lindsay's track record isn't that good. I come as a non-hostile critic of Hal Lindsay since I mark the point of my conversion from praying the sinner's prayer in the back of The Late Great Planet Earth. However, it is also clear that Hal has been wrong about fitting modern events into Biblical prophesy many times in the past so I don't get quite as excited about the connections he makes as he does.
