Oh, I remember it vividly. My mother even threated me with "the Zuni Fetish is going to get you" to get me upstairs and into bed.

(I also remember by father's howls of laughter at the damn thing. He found it absolutely ridiculous.)

Too bad your dad wasn’t a little kid when it was on.

He wouldn’t have laughed *then*.

Love the “trilogy of terror doll”. Am I the only one to notice it?

You were the first. That little doll was the coolest thing in the world when I was a kid.

What is that thing by the Jack-in-the-box?

The bottom medal is the Nobel Peace Prize. The top medal in the lid is an oversized NYC subway token.

From the movie, as Zircon said. But originally from a Twilight Zone episode, "It's a good life".

Billy Mummy played the little boy.

Actually the cornfield thing came from a Twilight Zone with Rod Serling the first time. It was remade later.

The awful kid was played by Billy Mumy.

The line is from a Twilight Zone episode from 1961 “The Good Life”.

"The Good Life", by Jerome Bixby. Very famous science fiction short story. It's much scarier straight off the page than any film adaptation.

"It's a Good Life"
