Our Lazy President
Canada Free Press ^ | Thursday, June 24, 2010 | Fred Dardick

I’m starting to get the feeling that President Obama is no workaholic.

His much trumpeted “War on Petroleum” speech in the Oval Office last week fell flat to most listeners, regardless of political affiliation, because our “genius”, Harvard educated President made it clear to the entire world that he knew less about the Gulf spill than the average 10th grader.

What has this man been doing with his time for the past two months?

You’d think by now Obama would at least have something intelligent to say about containment booms, or sand berms, or the Jones Act, or flow rates, or the coming hurricane season and its possible effects on the cleanup effort.

Sen. George Lemieux had this to say about a recent talk with Obama: “He doesn’t seem to know the situation about foreign skimmers (or) domestic skimmers.”

No kidding.

The President has access to the best information in the world, and yet I would swear the man hasn’t spent 20 minutes on Google researching the spill.

I truly do wish he were lazy to the point of doing nothing. However, destroying something takes much, much less effort than building it up!

Can't get in the way of online tee-time reservations, now, can we?

Studying Obama to understand what the administration is doing is like studying the paint job on a machine to determine it’s function.

Many people confuse glibness with intelligence. That’s why we have three card monty dealers.

These stories I'm seeing now about Obama remind me of conversations I had with some Washington folks who worked in the Carter administration (the conversations took place years later).

One guy described a meeting in Europe involving Carter and a number of European heads of state. The Europeans who attended that meeting were utterly alarmed over what they were hearing from the U.S. president, because Carter's comments made it clear to them that he didn't even know some basic points about European geography (he had apparently wanted to discuss some issues involving "bordering nations" that weren't even adjacent to each other).

What bothers me is that no one bothered to see that he was in no way qualified to be POTUS BEFORE he got in office. I’m not pointing to a character flaw in our president, I’m just saying how could he have been otherwise with his background and experience? A prudent man or woman would have taken a hard look at where he or she was and figured out that it was going to take a lot more than “hope” to effect “change” and made the necessary course corrections to ensure an acceptable outcome. It is also true that this “forward, progressive” platform is so “yesterday”.

When the hard realities of life start knocking on your door, all the “pie in the sky”, “come on, we can do it” rhetoric seems, well...shall we say at the very least — lame and childish. Life is tough. We can’t be childish.

C’mon folks, do any of you realize how much time teleprompter has to spend knowing something to be able to tell Mr. Skittles what to say. I mean, teleprompter technology is great and all, but its in its infancy. There just so much a teleprompter can digest in a day.

Obama is mentally impaired. The American Thinker had a story describing his symptoms a couple of weeks ago.

This guy is a slug who never had a real job or anything relating to work. Even as a community organizer - he had ACORN do the work.

Research on Google or anyplace else would not make a difference. In fact, he is too DUMB to understand it. There is a reason that his past records are all concealed - they would prove how DUMB he actually is.

Look no further for proof than when he is off his teleprompter. Even the simplest subject leaves his brain dead & incoherent.

“I truly do wish he were lazy to the point of doing nothing.”

I have had the nagging thought since he took office that he ISN'T doing anything, but his handlers (those charming anarchists next door and those wonderful friends he made in his travels around the world — in Pakistan and Asia — and the treasured close friends of the family and last, but not least, those zany cut-ups in Chicago politics) have put him in touch with a variety of “experts” he now consults and has put in charge of the details. He paints with a broad brush and sets agendas. The only thing to come out of this McCrystal debacle is our President is as disengaged with the life or death struggles of our troops as he is with Jonathan Livingston Seagulls in the Gulf. I don't think he knows how to do anything more than talk and give group hugs. His job is to read the speeches that wonderful array of consultants prepare and "Sell it, Baby, sell it!" We have, in effect, noone at the helm of the ship, but we've got a committee that sends up trial balloons while the ship is on autopilot. That's what scares me.

“Carter’s comments made it clear to them that he didn’t even know some basic points about European geography”

This may well have happened, but if it did, it likely was the result of OVERpreparing rather than failing to do his homework. Carter was an absurdly detail-oriented engineer who insisted on reading a stack of reports 6 feet high before making his decision about the B-1 bomber. Even though he was inept, he (in sharp contrast to Obama) viewed his job as president to be “Mr. Fix-it.” His cocksure faith in his own intelligence often made him incapable of delegation: he even insisted on personally managing the WH tennis court schedule. You can rest assured Obama would never put himself in charge of such a menial task.

The sports show had Brad Faxton on. They asked him if he has played 39 rounds since Obama took office. He said no.

He was selected by the controlled media because the New World Order needed a black face to “sell” it to black people.

Adolph Hitler was the most successful community organizer in history. He organized communities into a country based on the hate of another race and the promotion of socialism.
