Good article up until this part:

Just watched a segment of it on youtube. Note the VT student (and shooting victim) counters the argument about shooter being dissuaded by the possibility of armed students, by saying that the VT shooter was determined to kill as many as he could before being stopped. Aside from the mind reading aspect there, he claims that a determined killer won't be stopped by the possibility of getting killed. A minute later he says that the shooter acquired guns legally (so we need more laws).

Well, I think if a shooter's too determined to care about getting killed, he's too determined to care about breaking laws and he'll get a gun no matter how many laws are on the books.

But I guess my opinion is only worth 4/5 of a shooting victim's.
