Mitt Romney attacks Obama's leadership on Oil Spill

Mitt Romney attacks Obama's leadership on Oil Spill

Has it come to this again? The president is meeting with his oil spill experts, he crudely tells us, so that he knows "whose @ss to kick." We have become accustomed to his management style — target a scapegoat, assign blame and go on the attack. To win health care legislation, he vilified insurance executives; to escape bankruptcy law for General Motors, he demonized senior lenders; to take the focus from the excesses of government, he castigated business meetings in Las Vegas; and to deflect responsibility for the deepening and lengthening downturn, he blames Wall Street and George W. Bush. But what may make good politics does not make good leadership. And when a crisis is upon us, America wants a leader, not a politician.

The first rule of turnarounds is to focus time, energy and resources on what matters most. The president simply cannot treat this crisis like another of his many problems. The oil disaster could hurt millions of families, slam the regional economy, kill untold numbers of non-human lives and irreparably damage the planet. Among other things, he must not hold more rock concerts at the White House — I understand James Carville's venting: His hero (Obama like the Roman Emperor NERO) fiddled as oil churned.

President Obama's instigation of criminal investigations of BP at this juncture is classic diversion politics — and worse, it will engender bunker mentality at a time when collaboration and openness are most critical. BP's actions and inactions are reprehensible; it must be made to pay the billions upon billions of dollars that this spill will ultimately cost. But call out the phalanx of lawyers later — solve the crisis today.

Earlier this year I purchased a aerosol can of Edge Shaving Gel. The cap cracked in transit even before I could place the can on the sink counter and actually cut a finger while attempting to extricate the cap off of the top (Yes, I can walk and chew gum and if given the opportunity, could perform like President Obama by picking up Tarballs on the Louisiana beach in front of a camera). Upon examining the cap, it was obvious that the cap's material was brittle, very thin and prone to failure. Furthermore, there were caps which were cracked on the store's shelves (some accountant just like BP was probably trying to save a couple of pennies on the material). I called the 800 number for Customer Service and spoke with a polite lady who listened, apologized then requested my name and address.

In about a week, I received a coupon in the mail for a free can of Edge Shaving Cream along with a coupon for a free Schick "Quattro" razor. I went to the same store to exchange the coupon for the "Quattro" (the thing has a battery operated trimmer on the opposite end of the razor).

Just recently, I purchased a can of Edge "Ultra Sensitive" [for conscientious Conservatives :-)] Oatmeal Shaving Gel and am proud to announce that the grey plastic cap has definitely changed for the better - it's more flexible and not susceptible to failure - by breaking apart like in the recent past.

The point I am trying to make is that one person can make a difference. I have actually accomplished something constructive this year, unlike President Obama. Also, wouldn't it be nice if you could call an 800 number to recall a defective product or failure?
Like President Obama who's only "accomplishment" is holding the Gulf of Mexico hostage with his 6 month deep water moratorium!

Let's make 2012 the End of the Obama ERROR.

Make a Difference, Freepers!

How can you attack that which does not exist, Mittt?

Former Governor Willard “Myth” Romney? The guy who (with Ted Kennedy) passed socialist healthcare in Massachusetts which ObamaCare was based on? Why are we paying any attention to him? If he was smart, he'd write Governor Sarah Palin a million dollar check and hope she takes a look at him for Treasury or Commerce.

Mitt, if all you can attack is Obama’s deliberate malfeasance on the oil spill, you will be wasting your money in the primaries....how about the financial control bill that these socialists passed today???

It is our LIBERTY AND FREEDOMS that are being stolen — attack THAT!!!

Yep...that Mitt is sharp as a marble; the whole article is a regurgitation of things anyone on FR has known for months...even the "end of an ERROR" line was in a political cartoon that went viral.

We're going to have to put that mitt boy in a "Captain Obvious" costume.

Mitt RomneyCARE (D, Shapeshifter): "I'm not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.

(Backstabber Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""

--  President Ronald Reagan

Romney (Carpetbagger shapeshifter, D, RINO): "I'm very clear I think, to the people across the Commonwealth
my "R" didn't stand so much for Republican as it does for reform.
"
(Flip-flop chameleon artiste and Mitt RomneyCARE
Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."

--  President Ronald Reagan

That was Comrad Brother Abu Bubba's quote. I don't know who started it, but I like it.

I hope the GOP doesn’t sabotage us again by putting mitt (or another RINO) up as the GOP candidate. .. however, that being said, if he ran this article on the liberal CBS, it’s good. ANY article that can help enlighten any liberals is a good thing. They need to see more articles more often.

The current admin is quite simply LOOTING our nation via what is nothing less than organized crime. Has it gotten to the point that there is no one who can or is willing to enforce the laws against this corruption?

Things are pretty bad under Obama's Alinskyite dystopia.
But maneuvers are under way to get back into Stockholm
Syndrome with Romney and the Rockefeller Republicans.
This is not a solution.
Another big government plutocrat disconnected from the American people will not provide the needed leadership or conservatism.

Who’s “tougher?” A can of hair gel or a teleprompter?

The cut from the cap of the shaving gel was tougher than the teleprompter.

Since I have accomplished something constructive this year unlike the current resident, I am qualified to be President of the United States. Scary thought, standards are so low.

I am pleased Mitt attacked Obama re the oil spill on 10 June.

Again catching up with Sarah Palin who has been condemning
Obama’s non leadership of the oil spill since April
and several times thereafter on TV and in print
and suggesting what he should be doing.

Well, you know....Mitt had to wait to see which way the wind was blowing before he made anything remotely resembling disparaging remarks about Obama.

Finally, when even MSNBC took off the kneepads for a few moments, Mitt deemed it safe to add his voice to the crowd.
