Fiorina courts Latinos in California Senate race

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina launched a new effort Saturday to reach out to Latino voters, unveiling a Spanish-language website with supporters at a Hispanic-owned catering company.

But her chief endorsement at Saturday's event, former U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, has sharply different views from Fiorina on controversial immigration issues, including Arizona's new law and offering a path to legalization for those already in the United States illegally.

She’s either lying to them, or she’s lying to us.

A politician who is beholden to unassimilated foreign nationals simply cannot serve the best interests of the American people.

Statistically speaking, persons who are fluent in Spanish but not English overwhelmingly vote Democrat anyway. The only hint of an advantage Fiorina might have is that her name ends in a vowel.

Carly Fiorina has been endorsed by the National Right to Life, the California Pro-Life Council, and the Susan B. Anthony List.

She is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-military, and pro-strict border security and against amnesty.
She is against Obamacare and will vote to repeal it and prevent the government takeover of private companies and industries.

Carly is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Like me, she is a member of the NRA, has a 100% NRA rating, and she and her husband are gun owners.

She is pro-energy development and believes as I do in an all-of-the-above approach to energy independence.

She is against cap and tax. And most importantly, Carly is the only conservative in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer. That’s no RINO. That’s a winner.
- Sarah Palin

DeVore is also supporting her.

Being critical of Carly does not mean that I am a liberal.

It means that Palin made ANOTHER mistake in backing a female republican just because she is a female . She should have never backed this RINO that loves the sound of the muslim prayers..and has questionable actions at HP over the Iranian sales of HP items.\

It was her job to ensure that the no laws were being broken. She was the head of the company...that ran it into the ground.

Your beef is with Palin, thought so.

DeVore throughout the campaign hung around 16%

California is a Liberal state.

You go with the best on the issues who can beat Boxer.

Sounds to me like she is just spouting talking points.

Carly a gun owner?

Sounds like a lie.

Carly against cap and trade. Did you bother to listen how she was praising Kerry and Graham in that interview with Cavuto?

Pro life? Why wouldn’t she and why hasn’t she answered the question about Roe V Wade?

Against Obamacare? SINCE WHEN???????????????????????????????????????????

Going by the posts in this thread it appears there are a lot of Boxer supporters on FR.

There are a number of us who don't particularly like Fiorina.

HOWEVER - Boxer has had that seat for a long, long time and she's proven very difficult to dislodge.

If we can get Boxer out and Fiorina in, then next time we can try for someone more conservative.

Putting a conservative in CA's senate seats is going to take more than one step.

You are just posting a bunch of talking points with no meat behind them.

It’s like Mccain saying whatever is necessary just to get elected..but look at how he acted as a Senator.

Carly thinks Global Warming deserves a serious response.
Oh brother..JUNK SCIENCE

I disagree with that. I fear that once this RINO gets in we won’t be able to get her out for awhile. She is bad news.

Like Mccain.

Her she is lying about her own positions on internet taxation.

I still shake my head over Mccain saying he never claimed he was a Maverick.

I don’t. I don’t want Carly voted in any more than I want Mccain voted in- which MEANS I DONT WANT EITHER OF THEM.

Carly Fiorina is my enemy! Sorry, but I can see nothing other than the undeniable that RINOs do as much if not more damage than CommieCrates.

Very, very short sighted what do you want from California?? (Reasonably?)

So you are wishing my state another 6 years of left wing Boxer.

You are typical of many on FR who sat at home or voted third party to punish Republicans and helped put in Obama.

So you would rather have a Democrat majority in Congress.

You are a troll and a pimp for the Democrats

You can put this right at the feet of Sarah Palin- who is backing women who should not be elected just because they are women.

Carly was caught outright lying about her positions on internet taxation.

I guess she will fit right into those in Washington DC who should be getting the boot with replacements that have some integrity...but wont because Palin decides to back a woman who doesn’t own a gun, who wont say whether she would ban assault weapons, or vote to overturn ROE V WADE, who praises Kerry and Graham on their Cap and Trade bill, who declined to say whether she would vote for a pathway to citizenship, WHO TOLD A WSJ REPORTER THAT SHE OPPOSED THE ARIZONA IMMIGRATION LAW, who had no opinion on OBamacare as late as October, and on and on and on...oh and has been comforted by the sound of the Muslim prayer and would feel peace when she heard it.

“I disagree with that. I fear that once this RINO gets in we won’t be able to get her out for awhile”

Just amazing. So you would rather have the far left Boxer in for another 6 years voting for every screwball idea the dimoKKKRATS come up with. You are not alone in your thinking looking at some of the posts in this thread. All I can do is shake my head.
