SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Republican Senate candidate Carly Fiorina launched a new effort Saturday to reach out to Latino voters, unveiling a Spanish-language website with supporters at a Hispanic-owned catering company.

But her chief endorsement at Saturday's event, former U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, has sharply different views from Fiorina on controversial immigration issues, including Arizona's new law and offering a path to legalization for those already in the United States illegally.

I think Carly would be no better than Boxer..and in fact, probably worse. Add to that she is a Muslim lover . Palin should have never backed her.

The ONLY advantage of Carly winning is getting an R in the seat in terms of control of the Senate..but you can be assured that she will be as bad as the Maine Twins - if not worse. It will be hard to get her out to get a better person than her into the seat.We had a shot at it. All Palin had to do was back Chuck Devore.

Carly certainly ran HP into the ground....not to mention ...what really happened with those sales of HP items to Iran.....

No, I don’t vote in lockstep with Republicans just because they have a R behind their names. In fact, after the cowardly mess I am seeing from most Republicans I am now an independent.

I am strongly against Democrat Donor Whitman, RINO FLIP FLOPPER DONT CALL ME MAVERICK Mccain ,Demon Sheep Muslim Lover Carly, and Second Chance Backer Angle.

That doesn’t make me a liberal. It makes me a disgusted Republican.

I disagree with that. I fear that once this RINO gets in we won’t be able to get her out for awhile. She is bad news.

I'm certainly not thrilled. But Boxer's seat is being treated as though it's a lifetime appointment, like Ted Kennedy's was. THAT idea has to be broken into pieces - then we have a chance at moving forward to someone more conservative.

And it makes you ‘in good company’.

There are a lot of disgusted Republicans put here.

I have no argument with your line of thinking.

CA didn't get in this mess - and it's a gigantic mess! - overnight. It's going to take more than one election to get good people in.

Seriously, look at our choices for Governor - yuck, or yuck!

But Boxer's just plain gotta go.

I don’t live in California any longer. But Fiorina is no conservative Republican. She is another, oh,...a Republican like Schwarznegger. And see how that turned out, not so well.

They are both all talk and no can do.

You can put this right at the feet of Sarah Palin- who is backing women who should not be elected just because they are women.

Blah, Blah, Blah...!!!

Just wait to see how these people act that Palin endorsed once they get elected.
It will leave egg on her face...especially Carly.

Btw, just why does Carly oppose the Immigration law in Arizona?

I am a Conservtive Republican, I don’t vote for Democrats and don’t vote for people who will never receive 19% of the vote and enable the Democrat to win.

Many FReepers love Democrats and will pimp for them via third party or no win candidates to divide votes.

She opposed the Arizona law. She told a WSJ report that she was for increasing a federal temporary worker program. She also said some backers of the law were racist.

She was asked how she would vote on a federal bailout of California. Said she couldn’t answer theoretical questions.

In fact, she has run away from answering many questions on her views and her votes.

She can’t even tell the truth about her views on internet taxation.

I backed Chuck Devore with money and a lawn sign. Now that the primary is I will take Fiorina over Boxer any day. Boxer is as dumb as a box of rocks. She has to go.

Many Freepers here support RINOs like McCain for the very reasons you’ve expressed to vote for Fiorina; trying to keep a Democrat from office.

In the end it’s just exactly like you’ve voted for a Democrat.

I live in Washington State but was reared in Orange County, California. Left in 1969. It looks like we’ll have a chance this year to vote in a conservative Republican for the Evergreen State. People here are sick and tired of Patty Murray, dumbest woman in the Senate.

” ... what do you want from California ... “
Candidates that are honest, conservative and connected to reality. Carly is none of those, so give it to the Moon-bat, so that Conservatism is defined in terms of reality and honesty next time round (if God permits this corruption to continue).

The majority of voters in Calif. are liberal Democrats.
How many times to you have to be told.

California is a state people from other states come to.
and other countries.

My neighbors have licenses plates from New York, Massachusetts, Alaska, Texas, etc.

Got it. You would rather have Boxer instead of Carly to teach us a lesson. You must remember it is California. Small steps are a very good beginning.

Do you have any clue of how the population of California has changed since Reagan was elected governor?

He was elected in the mid 1960s.

There are 80% more Mexicans and radicalized than there were in the min 60s.

There are 3rd generation left wing from the universities.

There are 3rd generation grads from the left wing public schools.

What Calif. was in the 1960s is not today.

I understand what you are saying to a point, but Boxer brings home the corruption that is the CommieCrate Party,
Carly sugar coats it for her own personal benefit, and corruption marches on unabated!
Better to see the reality of Boxer’s total depravity, than a new Carly cover-up of same corruption with a new coating! IMHO
