Prince Harry, second in line to the British throne, has spent more time interacting with the American military than their current faux Commander-in-Chief.

Rule Brittania! And thanks to His Highness for letting the troops know they are valued, and that a true prince walks among the people.

When bass player Huckabee was playing for the Inauguration of Bush in DC for the Free Republioc Count The Silverware Ball some Freeper asked him on stage, "Will you ever get to the White House?".
His answer, "Only if they need a band for a dance.".
Pretty good sense of humor.

They didn't overlook it; they were dazzled by Obama's brilliance and chose to ignore it. He was Obama's choice, he voted for Obama, and from what I heard during the week, McChyrstal does not allow soldiers in his command to watch Fox News.

If this guy thinks Obama is a clown, that certainly limits the selection for soldiers who have any respect for Obama.

Morning AB, All...

Well here it....a miracle. It’s a Sunday and FreeRepublic is UP!

Let us discuss the left’s love of General Petraeus when not long ago they referred to him as General BETRAY US.

Let us discuss this new lesbian supreme court nominee that has even Lindsay Graham worried about her love of some Israeli activist judge. This on Fox News Sunday just now.

Let us discuss the Afghan war and my concern that it’s a loser for sure. The population is uneducated, the chances of them stopping their drug trade is possibly nil, the likelihood that restless Americans will wait much longer for the task of essentially converting the whole country to modern civilization.

Let us discuss Obamer and the Gulf and his constant failure to deal with a damn thing effectively.

Let us discuss mine own RINO congress critter, Mike Castle, who last week voted for the damnable Disclosure act and how Mark Levin shined the light of day on this cockroach and introduced the world to his lovely opponent, Christine O’Donnell.

Let us discuss WEBTV and how they labelled me a spammer and how they told my elderly mother-in-law that it’s AOL’s fault and how, in that manner of liberals, she believes the lies because the lies are more pleasant than the truth. Like the fact that microsoft HATES WEBTV, which they bought only to get some kind of search engine algorhythm and which they plan on shutting down soon.

Let us discuss my NEW BOOK....I’ll put a Blog post up about it later.

There’s more but I gotta go.

Good Lord! Could they put on a more predictable and totally boring lineup? I see nothing to tune in for.

Just another example of the media’s selective memory. They also choose to ignore the fact that Gen. Petraeus became famous for winning a war Harry Reid said was lost, by employing a surge Obama and Biden said wouldn’t work. Heckuva job MSM.

In referring to gay marriage, Huckabee uses the term, “the ick factor”. LOL

FNS

The worst thing about Huckabee is that he is easily converted to whichever way the political wind is blowing.

If it seems good at the time, he is for it.

If it seems bad at the time, he is against it.

He is amenable to change.

I haven't even turned on the TV. It's pleasant not to have to hear the same old thing, and I am going to be working here on the computer, so will check in from time to time to see if anything interesting has happened.

I wonder why they have dragged McCain back out. Possibly they want to use him to trash Bush by ranting about Afghanistan or something. Oh, well. As I said, same old thing.

Will check in after while.

The Huck thinks Mitch Daniels may be one of the most qualified, but also thinks Jeb Bush is probably THE best candidate for the Rep. party for Pres.

Good point, Sergeant Major.

Still, I'm not sure Petraeus can succeed in this mission. When Pres Bush adopted the surge, it was because he recognized that the then current strategy was failing and Petraeus had, in the surge idea, the answer. And then, most importantly, Pres Bush got out of the General’s way and saw that he got the tools he needed. Result: Win.

I'm not convinced Obama will play it that way. He knows better than the rest of us (in his mind), doesn't trust the military, and will be constantly looking over Petraeus’s shoulder, criticizing and “correcting”.

Is it just me, or did Huckabee do a bang-up job of saying nothing about the GOP presidential contenders?

One thing that always surprised me was that the rules of engagement that everyone is so upset about, and rightly so, were actually devised by McChrystal from what I have read.
