Hes going to push for some unpalatable deficit reduction after he loses control of at least one house. He assumes the pubbies won’t pass any real cuts so he can say i told you so.
This will be the opening salvo of his reelection campaign.

Next year he’s going to start with the huge tax hikes, including the VAT like Europe.

And when people start protesting, he’s going to tell them “but you wanted the budget balanced!”.
