Las Vegas Hotel Owner Tells It Like It Is

June 28,2010
James Simpson

This is better than Rick Santelli's rant. Here is a successful businessman giving us the reality of the situation.

Hotel owner Steve Wynn describes this administration and Congress's policies. As he says repeatedly, it is a combination of the insane spending and regulatory policies of the Democrats and the complete uncertainty this creates for business.

As I have said, this is a deliberate strategy. Nothing discourages business more than uncertainty, and the Obama administration has introduced a climate of uncertainty in this country that is unprecedented in our history. Even during war, no American ever seriously believed anyone would come along and attempt to change the fundamental structure of our society. But it is happening now before our eyes!

The corruption of this administration, the fraud occupying the White House and the revolting, despicable scumbags running Congress, defy description. They are corrupt, subhuman slugs.

Watch this four minute clip. Right on the money! (HT Allan Erickson).

Profoundly sobering words. With another two and a half years left to this hopefully only one-term administration I’m afraid of, for the future. All I can think of saying is “Steve Wynn for President”.

Wynn and his wife Elaine have both made contributions to the Democrats over the years. When even Jewish entertainment execs are waking up, any good will for this government is toast.

“Wynn and wife Elaine” have donated to Democrats. Yikes, a cerebral disconnect.

He was so accurate in describing the chill the government has put upon business development by its chaotic, rapid change and high taxation. There is too much uncertainty for businesses to plan ahead. He said if it came down to choosing between the U.S. government and Chinese government for predictable behavior, he would choose China.

Finally botox stretching and hair dye has had a positive effect and made a person sane instead of the opposite.

He has it right. I heard the same thing from a Hong Kong businessman attempting to do business in the USA. He lives in a nicer house here in Pasadena, but says he would trade it in a minute to return to China where they get to keep 85% of the money they earn and the laws are much simpler. The government is making it a nightmare to do business here. Good luck with a recovery it is not likely to happen.

Maybe he did it to buy himself some protection from the Chicago mob. Anyone with half a brain realized McLame was toast. Like many people he probably expected Clinton style sleaze and corruption. Back in '07, other than most of us on FR and folks like Hannity & Beck, nobody predicted how bad a Soetoro victory would be

He is right on the money with these comments though. It's scary that businessmen see the ChiComs as more stable and a safer bet than the US. We're headed for a depression if we're not already there.

"When cities or provinces have been accustomed to live under a prince... they do not know how to live in freedom... and a prince can win them over with greater faculty and establish himself securely. But in republics, there is greater life...they do not and cannot cast aside the memory of their ancient liberty, so that the surest way to conquer them is to lay them waste."

Let’s hope that Steve sends Sharron Angle a few “bones” for her campaign to unseat Dingy Harry.
