Excellent point, to which I might add that anyone who still has sympathies with the invasion of illegals should study the history of the Aztecs, their role models.

The Aztecs plundered and destroyed a number of superior civilizations, including the Toltec, who had given the Aztec art and engineering skills much like the ancient Persians gave the invading Muslims.

To repay them, the Aztecs butchered them and cut out their beating hearts to honor their pagan Gods. This included over 70,000 captives in a two week period to celebrate the dedication of their biggest grandest temple in the late 15th century.

Within a couple of generation, there were few captives, save those in the most remote areas, left to either butcher or to lend the Aztecs a veneer of civilization. This is why they were such easy prey to the Spanish Conquistadors who, despite the cruelties of conquest, forced conversion to Christianity and slavery which the left still yelps about, treated them far, far better than they treated any of their captives.

For all the shortcomings of the 16th century version of Spanish Christianity, I still believe it was God's tool to save a decadent civilization from themselves. And now, to show their gratitude after all these centuries of tolerance, they want to impose a 15th century pagan religion on all of us.

I am no fan of Pat Buchanan, but he warned that in a couple generations, the United States will become a Third World nation. Maywood Calif is a living demonstration of the future if we continue on this present path.

The Democrats refuse to stop this because they view illegals as voters who can be bought with taxpayer-financed ... See Moreservices. The Democrats also like how the illegals come from places where government is generally regarded like the weather — you can complain about it, but not do anything about it.

And all too many Republicans refuse to stop illegal immigration because they are beholden to commercial interests that are addicted to cheap, easily exploitable labor.

Ordinary people on both sides of the border suffer the consequences of this blatant neglect.

I grew up in Cudahy (demographics) from 1960 to 1974. It wasn't good then and it hasn't improved since.

In the early 1960s I remember it as mostly citrus groves (I was 4 in 1960). Then they built a Welfare office on Atlantic Blvd just south of Santa Ana St. Add decades of invasion by illegal aliens and the result is what you see now.

Sunday's Kansas City Star, had on the front page "The new face of America," a huge article showing that the population of Garden (at least it used to be) City, KS is now 46% "Hispanic" with people from Africa and Asia not far behind.

I might hasten to add, there is a Tyson Chicken processing plant located in Garden City.
