FAA says FBI asked plane not to fly over Pebble Beach taunting Tiger Woods

MONTEREY - The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed Friday that the FBI did contact the control tower at Monterey Peninsula Airport on Sunday because it was concerned about a plane towing a banner above the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach.
FAA spokesman Lynn Lundsford had said that he was unable to locate a record of the request. His colleague, spokesman Ian Gregor, said Friday that the record wasn't found earlier because the call from the FBI went directly to the airport control tower.
Gregor said in the FBI agent who called "expressed some concerns about a banner-tower." The banner read TIGER: ARE YOU MY DADDY?

FBI totally blew it with Maossoui (sp?) aka the 12th 9-11 hijacker but they can stop free speechYou nailed it.
The FBI is much more concerned with keeping the boss happy, particularly if he's a democrat, than keeping Americans safe.

If I’m not mistaken, a banner is free speech. The FBI has a problem dealing with what it is suppose to be dealing with. It is just another political driven group.

Flying that plane over the golf tournament is like being a democrat and/or a union member using the same tactics they do. Has nothing to do with the Supreme Court or anything else except what’s in your mind. I don’t think we are talking about the same thing. You do know the left has no manners.

Why do you not like Chihuahuas? I have a chihuahua/min pin mix shelter rescue pup. He’s great and he only barks if he has someone accidentally sit on him, or if he sees another dog. He asserted his dominance over a weimareiner, a golden retriever, a pekingese, a shelty and a blue tick, but with people he is loving and just wants to be petted and snuggled..

I don't get the facination with golf but to each his own. I would rather splatter a coyote with my Kimber .22-250. But that's just me. Roger that! Even their TV announcers are catatonic sounding...
I'd rather be at a shooting range than a driving range, any day.
