...another reason I’m a TV nazi...my kids ONLY watch DVDs pre-approved by the parents, and on rare occasions an episode of Iron Chef...

The young children won’t be confused. They have been brainwashed with this crap since kindergarten in the public schools.
These are the same schools that are always screaming for more money.

That is, in part, the reason “Guiding Light” is off the air and “As the World Turns” is going off. Each soap had queers in the cast. No sensible soap fan would want to have that tripe shoved down their throats. “The Young and the Restless” doesn’t have any. It is one of the better soaps on and as of now, still running strong.

lesbian movie which is both graphic and on prime timeYou make it sound good, but I'll bet there's nothing really graphic about it.
Check those pay-per-view channels for the REAL stuff.

Sorry to disappoint you...this is the world we live in today, unfortunately. The networks are reflecting life, not making it. My kids have friends at school with “2 moms” and contrary to their Catholic heritage and training think that’s just “OK”. They are amazed when I tell them “we” don’t believe it’s ok and “we” don’t support Oblama. The response is, “But Dad everyone likes Obama.” I’ll keep at it, but I’m resigned that they need to know the truth, both the bad and the good.

Ha! My kids have favorite chefs the way I had favorite baseball players when I was their age.
To: humblegunner
actually, this was graphic for me.... I have protected my eyes and ears from the sight and smell of the dung on TV/movies as hard as I could since the 80’s...

I’m so glad to hear that! My son does the same thing with his children, and now that they are older, they actually thank him! right and wrong are right and wrong. we didn’t make the rules for a civilized society. But the rules are there... even animals know them!

Amen and Amen. There is no TV connection of any kind into our household. I have been pleasantly surprised at how much my children love DVDs of Bonanza and McGuyver.
