Barnicle Pans Kirk Apology: Maybe Mark Should Use Mike's
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

I blog often about Mike Barnicle, and while referring to him as a former Boston Globe columnist, am not in the habit of mentioning his ignominious departure from the Globe under a cloud of plagiarism. But Barnicle today forces my hand . . .

Mark Kirk has gotten himself into a mess of trouble. The Republican candidate for US Senate from Illinois has been caught out misrepresenting his record of service both in the military and as a school teacher.

Morning Joe today aired a clip of Kirk's apology, and Mike Barnicle found it wanting. In truth, Kirk's statement was was not an exemplar of the genre. But of all people to criticize its lack of authenticity . . . Mike Barnicle? Might Mike be happier if Kirk were to use the lame language Barnicle himself offered up when confronted with the evidence of his unattributed borrowing from the works of others?

EVERYTHING about this guy is 3-dollar bill phony. Even when he uses his own words, there's never anything authentic that comes out of his ugly yap. He is a panderer of the worst order, a democrap water-carrier and a lousy dresser.

How he got where he is one of the great mysteries of the universe along with "Is there life after death?," "Where is Judge Crater?," and "Will the Cubs ever win another World Series?"

And Mike no doubt accepted without question the ‘apology’ of the Dem running for Senate in CT with an identical story to Kirk’s.

I never could understand why these people falsify their resumes when the facts are so easy to check out. It’s been going on forever, but in the internet age is just stupid.

From yesterday's article:

A letter from his office said he served in the first Gulf War when he did not. He has also referred to serving in the invasion of Iraq, although his duties kept him stateside.

I don't care about apologies. This sick p.o.s. Kirk should be prosecuted for "stolen valor".

In any event, I hope this scumbag Democrat Kirk gets creamed by the other scumbag Democrat. At least the other scumbag Democrat has the decency to wear the label, “scumbag Democrat”.

Better to be knifed in the face than stabbed in the back.
