FWIW, here's an old picture our Beauty with their Beast:
Even worse,,, 50% of the "voting" public does not care or watch the news. You are correct; and TROUBLE is coming because of it.
From virginia.edu:
"No nation is permitted to live in ignorance with impunity." --Thomas Jefferson
Let me know if you'd like to be added to the Ann Coulter ping list.
Congress, as the people's elected representatives, is supposed to "get things done." If they don't, that usually means the people don't want those things done. It's not the court's job to say: "Hey, Congress, you forgot to enact this! Don't worry, we'll take care of it."A quibble - Congress doesn't "get things done," either. That's the executive's job. Congress writes the rulebook, subordinate to the Constitution - and SCOTUS pronounces judgement on the conformance of the acts of the President to the Constitution and, secondarily, to the laws written by Congress.
Get some things done? Amy Klobuchar is not considered a lunatic, but this was a crazy, giveaway moment. (Durbin is not considered a lunatic, just a hack.)
The Supreme Court is not supposed to be "getting things done." Durbin's and Klobuchar's statements reveal a massive misunderstanding of the role of the court.
It's not a misunderstanding, Ann... it's a desire.
Nice pic. Never saw that one before.
Why do so many liberal women look like that math teacher you had back in 7th grade - you know, the one who looked uncomfortably like a man and had a hint of a mustache?
Maybe for the same reason that the spinster Biology teachers who really get
excited teaching about Darwin and evolution in middle school and high school
often look like Velma from Scooby Doo.
Someone should write a doctoral dissertation on the ambiguously female liberal,
its habitat, customs, and social rituals. An anthropological perspective.
