Seems to me we encountered a similar sign south of I-10 4 years ago. We ignored it, but found most of the park there empty. Very few visitors.

Boy Scouts have been warned, hunters have been warned, and University research teams have been advised to have bodyguards with them.

Trouble is, the parklands are wide open with a lot of nothing; but with some serious concentrations of bad guys in some places.
