President Obama hopes to rally new momentum behind the push for an immigration overhaul by explaining why he thinks a comprehensive approach is the only way to fix what he and others say is a system badly in need of repair.
Obama has said a comprehensive solution means "accountability for everybody" — from the U.S. government meeting its obligation to secure the border, to businesses facing the consequences of knowingly employing illegal immigrants, to those who enter the country illegally owning up to their actions before they can begin the process of becoming citizens.

6. Children of illegals (and maybe even legal tourists and temporary workers) should not be citizens by birth. The 14th amendment’s birth citizenship was put into place to prevent southern states from denying citizenship to former slaves - all of whom are long dead.

Twelve Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens, according to statistics released by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa. If those numbers are correct, it translates to 4,380 Americans murdered annually by illegal aliens. That’s 21,900 since Sept. 11, 2001.
Total U.S. troop deaths in Iraq as of last week were reported at 2,863. Total U.S. troop ... deaths in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan during the five years of the Afghan campaign are currently at 289, according to the Department of Defense.
While King reports 12 Americans are murdered daily by illegal aliens, he says 13 are killed by drunk illegal alien drivers – for another annual death toll of 4,745. That’s 23,725 since Sept. 11, 2001.
While no one – in or out of government – tracks all U.S. accidents caused by illegal aliens, the statistical and anecdotal evidence suggests many of last year’s 42,636 road deaths involved illegal aliens.
King also reports eight American children are victims of sexual abuse by illegal aliens every day – a total of 2,920 annually.
Based on a one-year in-depth study, Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute of Atlanta estimates there are about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States who have had an average of four victims each. She analyzed 1,500 cases from January 1999 through April 2006 that included serial rapes, serial murders, sexual homicides and child molestation committed by illegal immigrants.
The descendants of the very few Mexican citizens that were in AZ 150 years and did not choose to go over the border back into Mexico at any point in the last 150 years can cliam they were here first. The ones that stayed in Mexico have NO claim.
Any illegals sneaking in now have ZERO claim.
The United States won it 150 years ago. Mexico had AZ for only about 25 years and there were only around 10,000 in the SW when we won the war.
The United States (Los Estados Unidos)was very generous when we won against Mexico. Mexico started the war. We won and couldve taken the entire country fair and square as the spoils of war.
But the US was almost as soft-hearted as we are now and LET Mexico keep half of the country, paid them several million dollars (multiply for inflation) and in general ttreated them pretty well after the war considering that Mexico launched the first attack.

I wish Hayworth would use some of these figures in his campaign against McAmnesty. And I wish he’d do it soon. I think it would make a great commercial.
1. Use the $400 billion in unspent stimulus money to design and build an effective security wall (note that I typed “wall,” not “fence”) that stretches the entire length of our 1969 mile border with Mexico. That comes out to more that $20 million per mile, and would literally put many thousands of Americans back to work. If we can't get it done for that amount of money, then we should surrender to the Mexicans.
2. Cut off all benefits, except for emergency, life or death medical care, to all illegal aliens. This includes education, health care, housing, food stamps etc. No exceptions. If an illegal alien does need emergency medical care, then backcharge the cost against the foreign aid that we give to the alien's country of origin.
3. Impose strict liability against any employer who hires or contracts with an illegal alien. Strict liability does not require actual knowledge that the person is illegal, rather, if a person hires an illegal alien, even without knowledge or intent, then the employer is guilty, unless the employer can prove that it used the Federal database to first determine the employee's status.
4. Return to a skills based immigration system, rather than a family based system, that gives priority to immigrants who have skills and services that we need.
5. Streamline the visa process so that employers do not have to wait months and months for approval to hire foreign workers that they need today.
6. Reward those who follow the law by making the visa process easier; punish those who enter or remain in the country illegally by immediate deportation and a prohibition against re-entry for any reason for at least five years. If a person wishes to appeal a deportation order, then they can do so as a free perosn from their home country or from a jail cell in the United States. But they will no longer be allowed to remain free here for years and years during the appeal process.
7. No amnesty for illegal aliens who currently reside in the Country. They can apply for a visa under a streamlined process (see 4 and 5, above), but they (and their family members) will have to leave the Country to apply for and obtain the visa.
8. Eliminate citizenship by birth to illegal aliens. This can be done by an act of Congress. If someone wants to challenge the constitutionality of the law, then so be it, but until then, no citizenship to anchor babies.

Good suggestion. It took the Governor to do something , not Juan , and I voted for him in the election, but only because I didn’t want Barry...
