I haven’t bought a cooler yet, the ones I saw at Wal-Mart were made by Thermos, and Coleman. Are you still gonna’ stick to your “they are rebranded” BS?

Lame attempt at CYA. Really lame. Maybe you were thinking of Walmart stores outside the US, some of which still use variants of Wal-Mart.

That took me by surprise: I thought that Coleman was only now a brandname for Jarden and that all of the manufacturing had gone offshore, but it does appear that the classic Coleman cooler is still made in the U.S.A.:

From the Wal-Mart website at http://www.walmart.com/ip/Coleman-54-Quart-Steel-Belted-Cooler-Red/4528997:

Size: 54 qt.
Model No.: 6154A703
Shipping Weight (in pounds): 20.25
Product in Inches (L x W x H): 25.5 x 17.75 x 17.25
Assembled in Country of Origin: USA
Origin of Components: USA
Wal-Mart No.: 000988057
