Ben Franklin's personal motto.

Rebellion against tyrants is obedience to God.

That’s what I’m saying -

November 2010 - LAST chance for the ballot box.

May you be paying attention when the real action starts.

Oh, I will...and so will the many FReepers that I have personally met and know.

The only problem is as soon as someone tries to organize the feds will come down like a HAMMER and call everyone kooks! Good luck.

Just listen to the tapes from the Blago trial....it’s not just him. It’s how the majority of our politicians talk amongst themselves. Where are the statesmen? Is it too late to right our ship of state?

There's a great bumper sticker in that headline somewhere

About a week ago I saw a bumper sticker that expressed exactly that thought. Unfortunately there was an Obama/Biden sticker on the same car. I think that this driver was seriously confused.

That's the most insulting and presumptuous post I've ever read here, crangrats.

There are some, even on FR, willing to trade liberty for largese.

Hi Grizzled Bear. You sound like you could threaten some of these fair weather patriots. Maybe that is what will wake some of them up - to $hi* or get off the pot.

Liberty is not a discussion to be held by the Lilly Levered among us, but for those that have the stomach for battle and the backbone to stand tough.

As long as we have mostly-fair elections, the ballot box is the place for change.

The prime difference between the situation in 2010 and that of 1776 is that the people now can provide oversight through the election process. The ballot is the corrective mechanism that was unavailable to the Founders.

What the author skips is that the "corrective mechanism" available to the Founders is also still available today (or after November).

Its become a business of corruption, I think Congress should be RICO’d. Based on the Constitution and what our founders created Congress has now become a corrupt organization.

And this is the REAL reason the left has worked so hard to overturn the 2nd amendment. It MUST remove from the American people the means to overthrow a tyrannical state. Today, only force of arms can reclaim our nation and liberty.

>>The only problem is as soon as someone tries to organize the feds will come down like a HAMMER and call everyone kooks! Good luck.<<

Then the obvious answer is DON’T ORGANIZE. Read the biographies of Francis Marion, the Swamp Fox and John Singleton Mosby, the Grey Ghost. Learn from our enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan. Use force multipliers.

Nobody ever said it would be easy; but the question is: Are our liberties worth preserving?
