In his weekly radio address, President Barack Obama slammed Republican opposition to Senate Democrats’ efforts to pass a jobs bill that would extend unemployment benefits and send billions to states in fiscal relief.
“Republican leaders in Washington just don’t get it,” Obama said Saturday morning. “While a majority of Senators support taking these steps to help the American people, some are playing the same old Washington games and using their power to hold this relief hostage — a move that only ends up holding back our recovery. It doesn’t make sense.”
The president also spoke about a troubling June jobs report that showed losses after what had been four straight months of modest job creation. Despite signs that the economic recovery is slowing, Obama struck a positive note, pointing to six months of private-sector job creation after 22 months of losses.
[snip] But he also confirmed the sentiments of many economists: full economic recovery may be a long time in coming. “As I’ve said from the day I took office, it’s going to take months, even years to dig our way out —and it's going to require an all-hands-on-deck effort,” the president said.

It is mind boggling how stupid this president thinks Americans are....Obama HAS THE VOTES - Progressives are the majority...it just might be that some recovering Democrats/Progressives are not going to stay in lock step with this tyrannical community organizer.
That’s it. Republicans just want some of this to be paid for as “commander zero” promised. They offered an amendment to use unspent stimulus money for half but the dems rejected it. They just want to print more money and use the 52% of the stimulus that is unspent to prop up fed, state and local gubmint and teacher’s unions up until the 2012 elctions.
He doesn’t care what the American people want. Nor do the Democrats in power. They all have to go before the people get really ticked and kick them out before the elections.
Obama needs to be impeached, tried for treason and sent to Gitmo to rot with his goat-humping muslim buddies. He’ll fit right in.
He will continue this style of attack until the end. Even after he is voted out, he will continue with this crap to further the ‘rats and their commie ideals.
Oh please! The democrats turned down the offers the republicans made for compromise and went home since they wouldn’t pass their pork laden bill.

Obama the Jive Turkey Liar just glosses right over the truth that the GOP would have happily passed the Jobs bill, if Democrats would have taken the money from one of the Dems other bloated ‘money hole’ appropriations, instead of stealing it from the people...*again*.

Malignant narcissists always complain that others don’t “get it”. They are incapable of seeing anything from another’s point of view.
Hit the nail right on the head. The only jobs that Obama has created/saved are government jobs.

Surely that is a typo. It can’t be billion with a “b”. It must be million with an “m.”
They can “deem” it passed. They have done it before. And what’s that motion called with the 51 votes, like they did with “healthcare?”
Obama and his fellow DSA travelers in congress have already proven Republicans are not a threat to anything these socialists seek to accomplish. And very soon, they will have a fellow traveler on the USSC.
But, come November, it looks like a number of these so called demos (DSA) may have to join the Klan in order to get re/elected. Or is that just in WV where the entire state votes mostly democratic (DSA.)
Democrats cannot stand on their own policies so they just try to vilify the opposition.
