Perhaps it is frustration, as expressed by Anderson Cooper, with the new White House rules inhibiting reports about the Gulf of Mexico oil spill that is now causing a big crack in the Mainstream Media wall which until recently mostly avoided direct criticism of the Obama administration response. However that crack has now turned into a flood of surprising criticism coming from formerly friendly outlets such as the Associated Press. Read this amazing AP report and keep in mind that it is no longer just conservative sources that are harsh in their criticisms of the Obama Gulf oil containment efforts:
NEW ORLEANS BP and the Obama administration face mounting complaints that they are ignoring foreign offers of equipment and making little use of the fishing boats and volunteers available to help clean up what may now be the biggest spill ever in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Coast Guard said there have been 107 offers of help from 44 nations, ranging from technical advice to skimmer boats and booms. But many of those offers are weeks old, and only a small number have been accepted. The vast majority are still under review, according to a list kept by the State Department.

The folks who voted for him in the areas affected KNOW what is going on - regardless of the news. They are living it.
I understand that (or something close to that) is a headline on the tabloid "Globe."
Obama Presidency Illegal! It's illegal for Barack Obama to serve as America's President! That's what critics are saying after a government records official revealed Obama was NOT born in the U.S. and there is NO birth certificate in Hawaii to prove his claims that's he's a "natural born" citizen as required by the Constitution! Find out all the explosive details - only in GLOBE!
t-bagged by the Obama— he’ll have a Gorerotic moment just thinking about it
I stand by my original assertion. This is so bad that if the information came out all at once the world economy would collapse. And our enemies would be dancing in the street. So, they’re going to try to “leak” it out a little at time. Unlike the oil which is gushing out. The “relief” wells are only to give “relief” from worrying for a little while. I hope I’m wrong.
If something like this had occured off Cape Cod, the sirens would be sounding 24 hrs a day.
I hope you are, too. But if the oil is NOT coming through the borehole but from holes in the strata near the surface, the relief well s will not stop the leak. Then, it was indeed be “Houston, we have a problem” In retrospect , it seems that BP did NOT, as NASA did, a room full of McGivers able to do magical things with paper clips. Instead they had a bunch of paperpushers unqualifed to superintend a small drilling company.
The Globe...
and it’s selling like hotcakes.
Just bought mine at Albertson’s.

Very good point. San Diego too, I’d bet.
Actually, the article is correct. O’Reilly had a segment on the fact that the left is really turning on Obama for his poor management of the spill. Of course the left is sure what good management would have been, but they are sure that they would not have approved the use of such large amounts of dispersants. O’Reilly even played a clip of Katie Couric complaining about how Obama is failing to use the power of the presidency to manage the spill.
The fact is that the conflicting agendas of the leftist coalition is on full display in the Gulf region. I, frankly, think that the Coast Guard should go to a judge and get a restraining order against the EPA, and sue the EPA for interfering in the performance of the duty of the Coast Guard. This spill clean up is tantamount to a war front and allowing the EPA to hinder and complicate the success of the mission is treasonous.
I was the checkout stand at my supermarket and didnt have time to read it, but I was wondering if the National Enquirer is sort of a bell-whether, indicating that the media is beginning to abandon The Won. This is only after he has kicked them in the teeth repeatedly, of course, but better late than never.
The magazine you're thinking of is the Globe.

N.B. If you're in a neighborhood with a high concentration of BO voters, the rack containing this issue of the Globe will likely have other magazines stashed in front of it. Remove the other magazines so this issue can be on full display. Then, buy yourself a copy. Buy one for a friend!
LOL!
I believe that the Obama administration is slowing the clean up intentionally, but in doing so, they are exposing the fallacy of their global warming eco-concerns. Some on the left were true believers (Katie Couric for instance) and they are shocked that the Obama administration puts political agenda ahead of environmental concerns.
I went through every c/o at publix on Fri to do exactly what you suggested and could not find a single copy, stashed or otherwise. It made me wonder if the copies sold to interested folk or people who threw them away as soon as they were clear of the store. I am in Broward co so anything is possible.
Who would have guessed that they would get upset about being controlled on this? Treating the press like it owned it is one of the few things Barry0's WH has been consistent about.
It’s starting to occur to the media they are being played for fools, and eventually they have to straighten up and fly right because their jobs are on the line now. Fortunately, they have Fox News to look at in order to figure out the winning formula. Har.
sorry, but it’s not happening the media is throwing Thad Allen under the bus. They can’t bring themselves to blame Obama. Mr the “buck stops here” dude to charge on the matter.
We all know what happened to decorated war hero General McChrystal when he hurt the administrations feelings and became a heroic conscientous objector. Thad Allen is obviously not where the buck stops!
Yet Anderson Cooper is unwilling to grasp that reality.
