If your kids are fat kick them out of the house and let them figure out how to play until you call them for dinner!
OH man, we used to go outside and play for hours! Riding bikes, playing ball, walking..................and we never had to check in either.
Today....check in with cell phone, not safe to walk here or there!
I have some great memories growing up in Chicago and being outside until the sun went down only to come home for meals/chores and then it was back outside.
