Europe is widely regarded as less free than the US, and its citizens less happy than ours. It’s the high-tax Socialist nature of European nations that lead to this conclusion. What country do you live in? How do you view America’s freedoms and relatively low taxes (compared to Europe’s) from where you are?

You have a point but then again you talk like someone who think that “europens’” are unhappy with their high kind of tax. And this is not true. If we “would” hate this this much don´t you think that we would do something about it? Most europeans just feel fine the way that they are taxed.
NO ONE likes to give money away but then again why do you think that we are unappy because of that.
If we would we would not have this systems because if you believe it or not most of europe is still a democracy!
So whats the big deal?

This would be austria! The country i have been raised and the country i wan´t to die (including my us girlfiriend and the fact that i had double citizenship since i was born in the US as an austrian citizen)

I love this country and the people!
My girlfriend from the Us loves it too.
Is it the best country in this world?
I guess not (because i never visited every country in this world) But is it a country where she and me would love to abodon an american citizenship? Then definietlly yes.
Because “we” found each other and i love her as she does me so why again i should have to ask again?

Again “europe” is not less free than the US.
The “freedoms” differ in europe.
Sometimes “we” have more freedoms to enjoy than the americans and sometimes “we” don´t. example? You are allowed to drive a car when you are 16. In my country you have to be 18. Then again you are to go out and order what ever you want at the age of 16 here. You will get your beer even you are 15 ;-) in america it´s 21.
So who is more free (No ONE!)? its just different.
