NASA Chief: Next Frontier Better Relations With Muslim World

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his "foremost" mission as the head of America's space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world. fox news

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his "foremost" mission as the head of America's space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world.

Though international diplomacy would seem well outside NASA's orbit, Bolden said in an interview with Al Jazeera that strengthening those ties was among the top tasks President Obama assigned him. He said better interaction with the Muslim world would ultimately advance space travel.

This is such a blindingly stupid remark I question whether anything else could best it...

>>There is no science fiction or fiction story I’ve
read that has prepared me for where the USA is now,
and the direction along, and velocity at which,
it is traveling to its inevitable destruction.

Read Tom Kratman, Michael Z Williamson, and John Ringo. They know where we’re going and their sci-fi is full of the consequences of our current trend towards stupidity and self-annihilation.

>>Going into a voting booth as dumb as a wooden post has consequences !

Correction: Letting people go into a voting booth as dumb as a wooden post has consequences ! I know plenty of liberal idiots (redundant..I know) that still say “What did NASA ever do for me?” and when I can stand in one place and point to a half dozen items that we got from the space program, they still just shrug their shoulders and say, “That would have been invented anyway.”

You just can’t fix stupid.

It's been many years since I read MI, and it's just a short story. It talks about the gradual submergence into a social welfare state and it devolved into a planet where everyone was totally stupid and lacked any remaining self motivation.

A man figured out a idea to save the society but he had to kill it to save it. He devised a fake relocation scheme to Venus where new lives and futures could be yours for next to nothing and then sent fake correspondence from families on Venus to the relatives and friends of those who were waiting to see what it was really like.

You see the real kicker was that every space ship loaded down with stupid government shills was not capable of reaching Venus, and in fact sometimes never made orbit. The ship and all aboard were destroyed shortly after launch.

In the end, IIRC, they reduced the planet's population by some 80% or so and started over.

This is one of the craziest statements I have ever heard from a public official, and that is saying a lot. If the Hildabeast had said it of the State Department, that would still be deplorable, but at least comprehensible given State’s area of responsibility.

A suggestion: (As always) FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL!

One possibility: Some Soddy prince has offered billions for spaceflight if NASA can somehow join various media and academic entities in selling Israel down the river.

Practically every university in the western world, and a high percentage of individual professors, are essentially on the take from rich Muslims. Only a fool would believe this has no effect on their actions and positions.

No science fiction story, but...

history is full of similar (or nearly identical) tales of the last days of great nations

grab some history books, and you’ll see that this has all happened before

"...to help [Muslim nations] feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering ..."

What "contributions"? Those contributions were made by Arabic cultures long before Islam even existed. Muhammed wasn't even born until 600 years after the birth of Christ. I think the Arabic cultures' profound contributions to math and science were done even before the Birth of Christ, let alone the birth of Momammed.

The claim that Islam "contributed" in any way to profound math and science knowledge that came out of ancient Arabian civilization is a lie, a pure falsehood.

Islam is evil, I am beginning to think more and more, and its followers are misguided at best.

I just saw this and about to post it.

This is SOOOOOO upsetting on many levels.

WHat our enemies do NOT have they will get through sharing our technology with our ENEMIES. We are LEVELING out ANY competitive KNOWLEDGE we have.

Can you imagine, what our ENEMIES will do when they have ORBITAL ROCKET TECHNOLOGY? They will be ABLE to attach a NUKE and have it hit anywhere on EARTH!

THINK ABOUT IT!

Our ENEMIES having this kind of KNOWLEDGE!

...

He said the United States is not going to travel beyond low-Earth orbit on its own and that no country is going to make it to Mars without international help.

Bolden has faced criticism this year for overseeing the cancellation of the agency’s Constellation program, which was building new rockets and spaceships capable of returning astronauts to the moon. Stressing the importance of international cooperation in future missions, Bolden told Al Jazeera that the moon, Mars and asteroids are still planned destinations for NASA.

I am 100% sure we are too stupid to survive now. Charles Bolden has convinced me.

“........“What did NASA ever do for me?”...........”

I have seen on this forum FrINOs (~Freepers In Name Only) make that same statement. Which used to prompt me to waste a lot of bandwidth pointing out all the spin-offs of the space program (like the integrated circuit technology that produced a computer which allows them to state that NASA did nothing for them!)

Though I will say that present day NASA almost borders on irrelevance thanks to decades of Congress thinking its nothing more then a “jobs program”.Now Obama’s new “directives” with probably be the last straw that will truly make it useless.

Can you even begin to imagine what our ENEMIES, Muslims will do when they have the technological capability to ARM a orbital space rocket with nukes, biological germs etc. and have it target anywhere on earth?

THIS is what will develop from this kind of partnership!

Obama is obsessed with our ENEMIES and leveling us down economically and now sharing our KNOWLEDGE with our enemies.

June 25, 2010

On Tuesday, President Obama announced the appointment of this year’s “White House Fellows,” a prestigious program in which outstanding Americans are chosen to work in the White House and receive “first hand, high-level experience with the workings of the Federal government.” According to a White House Press release, one of this year’s Fellows is a young lawyer named Samar Ali:

Samar Ali is an Associate with the firm Hogan Lovells US LLP. She is responsible for counseling clients on mergers & acquisitions, cross-border transactions, Shari’a compliant transactions, project finance, and international business matters.

Left out of the press release is that she also previously worked as an intern and received training at the Islamic International Arab Bank; according to her staff bio at the Hogan Lovells law firm,

Samar’s experience includes advising a Middle Eastern university in the potential establishment of a Foreign Aid Conventional and Shari’ah Compliant Student Loan Program. … Before joining Hogan & Hartson, Samar worked as a summer associate for the firm and as a legal intern for the Islamic International Arab Bank.

One state is preparing itself against Shariah Law

Oklahoma Lawmakers Resist Using Sharia (Islamic law) in Court | Print | E-mail

Written by Bruce Walker
Wednesday, 09 June 2010 16:10

Oklahoma lawmakers are supporting an amendment to the Oklahoma Constitution that would prohibit state courts from relying upon Sharia (Islamic law) or international law in deciding cases.

House Joint Resolution 1056 would place the issue before Oklahoma voters in November. This resolution, nicknamed “Save Our State,” has been proposed because of a rising concern with courts citing non-American sources as legal authority. Sharia, in particular, poses a threat to traditional American values. Honor killings and similar crimes are seeping into our nation, with justification under traditional Islamic law an increasingly common concern..

if we consider that the inexhaustible list of stoopids pouring forth from the Obama admin. is simply what they WANT us to know about, we should be terrified about all that happens behind the scenes every day and week
