PITTSBURGH -- A big name comedian made a stop in Pittsburgh this weekend, but according to TMZ.com, it was for all the wrong reasons.

The website said a private jet carrying comedian Dave Chappelle had to make an emergency landing Friday night at Pittsburgh International Airport.

According to TMZ sources, Chappelle was on a private flight from New Jersey to Ohio, where he lives. TMZ said the flight was forced to land in Pittsburgh when Chappelle “freaked out,” refused to put his seat belt on and repeatedly walked into the cockpit, bothering pilots.

He has mental issues and that is no joke.

Sorry to hear this.. I always liked Dave Chappelle. When other “entertainers” were freely and gleefully bashing Bush, Chappelle said he would refrain from joining in, because he knew Bush was doing the best he could, and that he had too much respect for the office of the Presidency to attack him.

That won a lot of admiration for Chappelle from me.

It's a shame that he's lost his mind.

His comedy exhibited flashes of genius and his Block Party could be the best concert film ever made, in terms of the concept and the quality of the performances.

I totally agree.

Agreed, he did some great skit comedy. Not exactly family fare but that’s a personal choice.

I didn’t know that about him.

My hope and prayer is that Dave gets whatever treatment he needs.

I didn’t know that about him.

Yep. He said it on his show one time, in response to a question as to why he didn't attack Bush.

His show was the first place I ever heard the term “Magic Negro”. Funny how Rush got beat up over the term.

His Clayton Bigsby blind black white supremist skit was fall-down-on-the-floor hilarious, as was his ‘documentary’ of Rick James.

It's sad but true ...sometimes genius comes with its twin brother insanity. As someone else said,Chappelle respected the office of the president and thus would not attack President Bush even when it was fashionable to do so.

Off tangent, on President Bush - isn't it interesting how even a movie was made on what his assassination would be like, and how he was always drawn looking slightly apish ....yet make a similar movie about Obama and it's your hide, or for that matter draw Obama in any manner similar to that which they drew President Bush and see what happens to you. Those are some stark double standards.

World Series of Dice, Reparations Sketch, the Niggar Family, “Is Wayne Brady going to have to choke a b_tch?”...

Good times. I’ve heard about his very serious mental health problems too. So sad.

Dont forget the “race draft”. Tiger Woods was drafted by the blacks much to the Asians dismay “Goodbye fried rice, hello fried chicken!”

Black owners “Look you whites can have Colin Powell but only if you take Condeleeza Rice too”

Hispanic owners “Hey you white people, we want Elian Gonzales back!”

White owner (played by Chappelle in “authoritative white voice”) “Hey you black folks in the crowd need to simmer down! Look, look, Hey there is a white man speaking right now dammit! oooga booga, OOOGA BOOGA!”

Dave Chappells best

1) skit on slave reparations was absolutely hilarious.
2) anything on Tyrone Biggums
3) The REAL WORLD parody
4) The Racial Draft
5) Prince playing basketball against Charlie Murphy
6) The black/white husband swap

I hope Mr Chappelle seeks medical attention.

“.....repeatedly walked into the cockpit, bothering pilots.”

I’m curious as to why the cockpit was so easily accessible to him. Seems like it should be locked in flight.

The gay klansman skit was hillarious.

Another favorite of mine was the Wayne Brady skit where Brady drags Chappelle around on drive by shootings and forces him to smoke crack.

Privately chartered jet.

In private planes that is rarely (per my experience) the case. When you use one of those card services there is an assumption you are not a terrorist ...which I guess is a potential flaw.
