'US agrees to nuclear cooperation'

The US sent Israel a secret letter, in which it committed to nuclear cooperation between the two states, Army Radio reported on Wednesday.

In the letter, the US reportedly promises to sell Israel materials used to produce electricity, as well as technology and other supplies, despite the fact that Israel did not sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Because Israel never signed the NPT, other countries have refused to cooperate with Israel on nuclear matters, making it difficult to produce energy.

Army Radio also reported that the US said it would use new terminology in reference to Israel and speak positively about Israel in public. The US reportedly agreed say Israel is "a responsible state that behaves in moderation relative to its capabilities."

Publicly, the US and Israel will keep the status quo. At the end of Tuesday's meeting between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama, Obama said “there is no change in US policy” when it comes to the NPT, even though the US signed on to a document at the recent treaty review conference that singled out Israel, a non-signatory to the NPT widely believed to have a nuclear arsenal. The decision was viewed with alarm in Israel, with many worried that the move cleared the way for the US to pressure Israel to sign the treaty

I don’t buy it.

I would be absolutely AMAZED at any cooperation from Obama’s administration and the current Congress with ANY aspect of Israel’s government.

Why would the Jerusalem Post or Israeli Army Radio lie?

Oh, I’ve no doubt something was offered.

It’s the offer I’m skeptical about.

The Jerusalem Post has been very accurate in their reporting on many things and I have no doubt a deal was offered.

Perhaps I should clarify:

I have no doubt something was offered. It’s the offer itself I’m skeptical about.

In other words, I believe the current administration will follow through in this in the same way it has followed through with its promise to secure the borders.

Don’t fall for it, anything the child like emperor offers with the right hand, he has a poisoned dagger in the left.

No matter what he promises, NEVER turn your back.

Fair to say.

Likely my response is influenced heavily by frustration with the entire state of affairs. I would be immensely pleased to see a deal like this honored, though it would make me worry what contradicting deal has been made with Israel’s enemies.

I guess I should try for some optimism.

Fear not, my brother, there is no question that the Muslim in the WH will screw the US and Israel(and Britain and Poland and on and on) any way he can.

There is no doubt that the current WH administration is a ‘Black Activist’ camp with a very pro-Muslim slant.

However, they do not hate Israel anymore than they hate any other ‘White’ nation. They hate the ‘White’ world equally on all fronts.

My thinking, exactly. Even Marx had to make some compromises to further his agenda. Think at least (3) chess moves ahead.

"Because Israel never signed the NPT, other countries have refused to cooperate with Israel on nuclear matters"

Do those same countries refuse to cooperate with Iran?
